Spanish for beginners: start from zero

Spanish is one of the easier languages to start: pronunciation almost always matches spelling. In the first lesson you practise greetings and one short sentence, listen, and try to recall.

What you learn first

Greetings, introducing yourself, numbers and simple everyday sentences. Each lesson is short and ends with review.

Which Spanish

The base is Latin American Spanish (ustedes), the most widely spoken, with notes on vosotros and voseo where they differ.

How much per day

Ten minutes a day is enough to begin. Spaced repetition brings back only what needs refreshing.
